Rainy Days & Mondays

Rainy days and Mondays don't get me down.

I love the rain and Mondays are the start to something new. What does get me down are moving days. Combine that with a rainy day AND Monday, though, and you basically need a cocktail.

Well here we are. Our final week in this home. Our final week in Michigan. It is so bittersweet.

We were married here. All three kids born and baptized here. And yet we always had a feeling God would move us somewhere. We just didn't expect so soon and certainly didn't expect Dodge City, Kansas! No offense to Dodge City at all... We just knew nothing about it!

We are finishing packing with a newborn, two toddlers, and everyone is sick today.

I ask the Lord "why?" too many times! I know I do, but... I mean, seriously. Three babies and colds?! Our last week?! But His reply is always the same: I'm here. Trust Me.

I do and I don't and I do. I think as a mother my call to trust is so much greater than as a single or even newly married person because it is so much bigger! I have to surrender not just my own life but the lives of four other people whom I love- my husband and kids.

When we were discerning this move, someone told David that after all these trials and hardships surrounding this decision, every mountain will be made low and every valley shall be exalted. Isn't that Kansas? Ha, flat! :)

I will write more about our decision and the miracles surrounding our move in time. Now though, I ask you to pray for our intentions. We especially ask St. Therese the little flower for her intercession with regards to the sale of our current house and a happy safe affordable stable dwelling in Kansas! NOT a happy safe affordable stable. Sorry, but I have no desire to birth our next baby in a stable. :p

St. Therese gave me a rose at the end of our Novena so I know it will all be taken care of.

Our intercessors for our trip are:
St. Josemaria Escriva
Fr. Solanus Casey
St. Therese the Little Flower
And Our Lady.

God bless. More soon.
